2012 goals completed already (and 2013)
Not sure why changing the fourth digit carries so much weight that even I feel an urge to spring-clean my brain. But here I am typing about it. I had no resolutions per se but I have succeeded in letting a few things go:
1) Nine domain names canceled: each were linked to a different tumblr account, each with a different topic, each untouched for a year or more. All backed up and then deleted.
2) My fashion sense has always been driven by the thought, “I really should spend this money on something else.” I am now embracing the fact that I will always be the guy in jeans and ten-year-old threadbare shirts.*
3) Food and drink will flow like they always have. Why stop now?
4) All of the old goals to “do more of this” or to “start doing that” are off the table altogether. I will just maintain the course of being a slightly better than average father, husband, and co-worker.
*Last night I went clothes shopping looking for dress pants and shirts for work. There were shirts organized by numbers: 15, 16, 17 &tc… I have seen these numbers before, but I have no idea what they are supposed to represent. Too embarrassed to ask the sales lady, I came home empty handed and ordered some jeans online.
