I’ve previously said that I wouldn’t want a Kindle… but hey, if they want to give me one free, I’m sure I’ll buy a book or two from them!

I’ve used kindles and I think free is still too expensive.

I’ve never seen two of my friends in a “real” commercial before, but there they are Adam and PERMENTER! in an ad Adam made for Square.

Square does look pretty damn cool. Not that I have anything to sell… (yet ?).

p.s. — please note that I’ve gone this entire way without using the phrase “it’s hip(ster) to be square.”

I don’t care what these two guys are selling, I’ll take a dozen anyway.

I just watched a two minute ad and it wasn’t for a car or something from Apple. I enjoyed myself. Is it just me or is someone like Adam Lisagor exactly the guy to pitch something like Square? I’m guessing the people who’re most likely to get Square (to begin with, at least) would be tech-savvy, internet-hip (I’m so, so sorry) people. I’m guessing most people don’t know who Adam Lisagor is and don’t think your Twitter meme is funny but he’ll have pretty good “market penetration” (still so sorry) with those aforementioned savvy/hip people.

    So… I’m rambling again?

Only one question: When will I see John Gruber in a Deadwood-like internet ad?

Kinda digging this technology, and Sandwich’s shirt buttons holding on for dear life.
